Professional gardeners in your garden every fortnight through the growing season, with two or three hours of skilled gardening time at every visit. Enough to weed the borders properly, shape the shrubs, deadhead, edge and tidy, and still notice the things a rushed visit misses. Two levels, one monthly payment.
A Proper Visit Every Fortnight Changes What a Garden Can Be
A quick tidy keeps a garden from looking neglected. Two or three hours of skilled gardening every fortnight keeps it improving.
On the Garden Programme professional gardeners come to you on a two-week cycle through the growing season and works through the garden in order: beds and borders weeded and edged, shrubs pruned at the right time, spent flowers removed, paths blown clear. Because we come throughout the year we learn where the ground dries out first in a Moray June, which roses get blackspot and which corner the bindweed comes from.
The Standard Programme gives you two hours of gardening time at each visit through the growing season, with two winter visits to prune and prepare for spring. Premium gives you three hours at each visit, additional weekly visits in May and June (limited availability) and four winter visits. Both include mowing for a small lawn and weed control for paths and patios close to the house.
What We Offer
Each visit is two or three hours of skilled work, planned around what your garden needs that fortnight.
Beds and borders
Weeding, edging, deadheading, staking and cutting back, with the soil kept open and the plants given room. Bark mulching can be added as an extra to hold moisture and keep weeds down.
Shrubs and small trees
Pruned at the right time for each species so they flower and stay in proportion. Overgrown shrubs are brought back in stages so the garden never looks bare.
Paths and hard standing
A scheduled weed-control programme for paths, patios and paved areas close to the house, applied by NPTC-certified staff, so the edges stay crisp between visits.
Winter groundwork
Visits through the winter months for structural pruning, bed preparation and the heavier jobs, so the garden starts spring in good shape. Premium includes more winter visits than Standard.
Visit Length
Two hours of gardening time on Standard, three hours on Premium.
Frequency
Every two weeks from March to October, plus winter visits. Premium adds weekly visits in May and June (limited availability) and more winter visits.
Focus
Beds, borders, shrubs, edges and paths. A small lawn can be mown as part of the visit, Larger lawns are covered by the Lawn and Mowing Programmes, which can run alongside.
Options
Add Hedge Care, bark mulching or tree and fruit tree pruning. Combine with Lawn Care in the Complete Garden Programme.

What the Programme Gives You

Gardeners who know your garden
Our gardeners get to know your garden over the season, so decisions about pruning, dividing and planting build on what was done last time.

Time and attention to do it properly
Two or three hours of gardening time means the whole garden gets attention every visit, including the bits behind the shed.

Trained, certified, insured
Horticulture-trained staff, NPTC certificates for any weed control and £2 million public liability insurance, with SEPA registered waste carrier status

One monthly payment
The season's visits are priced once and spread across twelve months. No invoice after every visit and no surprise in spring.
Questions About Your Garden
For a medium or large garden in Moray, a visit from our qualified gardeners every two weeks through the growing season keeps on top of weeds and growth, without paying for visits the garden might not need. Monthly visits let weeds seed in between. Weekly is rarely necessary outside May and June, when growth is fastest, which is why Premium adds weekly visits in those two months (limited availability). Winter is different: a few visits for pruning and structural work are enough, with two on Standard and four on Premium.
Fortnightly visits run from March to October, adjusted to the year, with winter visits between November and February. Standard includes two winter visits and Premium includes four. Premium also adds weekly visits in May and June, when gardens grow fastest (limited availability).
This will depend on the particular job and the programme you choose. Everything can be discussed before a written quote is sent out.
A small team of trained gardeners, usually working in pairs. We keep the same gardeners on the same gardens wherever we can, because knowing a garden is what lets the work build from one visit to the next. Holidays, illness and the occasional change of round mean we can't promise the same faces every time, but whoever comes works to the same plan for your garden.
